Terms of Service

Welcome to ReelLists. By downloading, accessing, or using the ReelLists mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ReelLists. Users under 18 are considered minors and may have restricted access to certain features and content ratings. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, including your date of birth.

2. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and accurate personal information to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not create multiple accounts or use another person's account without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post reviews, list descriptions, or other content that is harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems.
Upload malicious code, spam, or disruptive content.
Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App by automated means.
Circumvent any content filtering, parental controls, or age restrictions.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on ReelLists, including reviews, lists, and profile information. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App and its related services.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, or in response to valid reports from other users.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

            Free Tier: ReelLists offers core features at no cost, including watchlist tracking, reviews, and social features.
Pro Subscription: Additional premium features are available through a paid subscription.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective payment terms.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's App Store or Google Play settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

        

6. Third-Party Services

ReelLists uses data from The Movie Database (TMDB) for movie and TV show information. TMDB content is subject to their own terms. ReelLists is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Streaming availability information is provided for informational purposes and may not always be current. We are not affiliated with any streaming service provider.

7. Intellectual Property

The ReelLists app, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Movie and TV show metadata, posters, and images are provided by TMDB and remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Privacy

Your use of ReelLists is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

9. Disclaimers

ReelLists is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of movie/TV show data, ratings, or streaming availability provided by third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReelLists and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

11. Content Reporting and Moderation

Users can report content or other users for violations. We review reports and may take action including content removal, account warnings, or account suspension. We are not obligated to monitor all user content but reserve the right to do so.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to ReelLists at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of ReelLists after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ReelLists shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
